Our physical workshops are back due to popular demand…(and for as long as it is safe to do so!) We did a trial workshop in July with all safety precautions in place and it was a hit! On the 6th of Dec we hosted our very last workshop for 2020, how crazy? This year has gone by so quickly, yet it feels like it has been the longest year ever! With that said, no matter the circumstance, it is always a pleasure getting together with a small group of creatives to blend and hand pour soy candles.
A special thanks to the talented duo, Kirsty and Hannah, at Front of House for assisting me at this workshop, they did an incredible job of making sure things ran smoothly all while taking these beautiful photographs and creating video content for us.
The #SMLcandlemaking workshop covers the basics of candle making with a fundamental focus on hand poured vegan soy wax scented massage candles.
Our physical workshops cover the following:
– An introduction to candle making.
– Different types of candles.
– Methods of candle making.
– The benefits of soy wax.
– Blending essential oils.
– Candle making equipment and care thereof.
– Stockists details.
– How to create a personal brand with a focus on Instagram. (This includes photo editing tools, our favourite apps and tips on how to maximise your engagement.)
Our online candle making course launched this year, it was never designed to replace the physical workshop, (even though it was perfect timing with us being confined to our homes), but rather to support our international audience, so if you are reading this and longing to learn from the comfort of your own home – this is for you. Read more about our online course here, I would recommend that you purchase our candle making kit to ensure you have all the equipment you need at home to get started… Shop here.
Happy holidays everyone. May your new year be filled with love, good health and success.
If you are new here and would like to know more about our hands on candle making workshop, browse our past workshop blog posts or get in touch. We will be hosting more workshops in 2021 and look forward to meeting you then.
