Product Crush: Pantone

Product crush: Pantone by Melissa Louise

I am completely obsessed with Pantone. I love that each colour can stand on its own, is named and when paired can create magic. Their products are iconic and the PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard language for colour communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer.

Pantone produces a wide range of products but a few of my favourites can be purchased locally with a lovely online store called Elephantshoe.

“Established in 2010 by us (Sam & James), Elephantshoe is a custom boutique Paperie, Branding and Styling Design Studio. Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, we don’t believe that a little latitude and longitude should get in the way of working with clients near and far, so drop us a mail and we’ll get straight back to you (minus that time difference thing).” – Elephantshoe

Here are a few of my Pantone favourites purchasable on their store- see them here.

Iv recently got a new laptop, its an amazing feeling having a new one after six years, my other still chugs along but is SO slow… anyway, only mid way of creating this post did I realise that I was missing/hadn’t yet installed the crucial programs I needed to finish this post. Iv had a super busy past two weeks follow me on twitter and instagram to keep involved with the goings on behind the blog posts. With out further ado below is yesterdays Etsy round up , better late then never. :)

Since Halloween is just a week away, I thought I would collect a few of my favs which you can have shipped to you just in time. I do wish Halloween was a bigger deal here in SA, it’s such a fun time and who doesn’t love a good dress up and lots of candy, only a few stores will go out of their way to stock a few rad products otherwise its not celebrated the same as in other countries….

I’m simply obsessed with no.6. Must have those….

I’m the interior designer at Zana & this is our studio

Here are a few photos from around the studio lately-

These chairs will be up for sale soon, stay tuned.

I’m one week away from being apart of the Zana team for one WHOLE month!! Time sure does fly when you are having fun. This has been both the busiest and exciting months of my career thus far. I’m doing what I love and I couldn’t be happier.

Before starting at Zana I was asked by Robyn, the co-founder and creative director, to help design the new studio space. It was a easy and enjoyable task, Robyn has wonderful taste and is pretty in tune with the latest trends. The space turned out stunning and I now have first hand experience in how much of a wonderful space it is to work in (if I do say so myself) …

After settling down in our new studio office space in the Salt Circle Building in Woodstock, we were itching to do a studio shoot. We did the shoot this past Saturday with the talented Lindie Meyer, she has posted a sneaky peek of the photos over on her blog. More photos to follow soon.

Follow us on twitter and instagram to find out when these chairs will be for sale.

Etsy roundup: Nature inspired products

IT’S FRIDAY and time for the good ol’ Etsy round up. I really enjoy doing these. Etsy has so much to offer, its an amazing online community of beautiful things.

I’m so inspired by nature and what surrounds me. Lately I’ve forced myself to S.L.O.W down and enjoy the small things. There is so much detail in our environment, the way the sun rays hit my desk or the repetition of bricks along the path.

Take a moment to look around and notice.

Product Crush: Wallflower urban garden & home

I couldn’t decide on one single product in this store… I just love it all. Wallflower urban garden & home is a store based in the Salt River Arcade building in Salt River, number 376 Albert Road. Our studio is based in the same building and I cant resist popping into wallflower every now and again.

Below are a few photographs around their store.
