Made in Brasil competition winner announced

The whole process of the Made in Brasil project going live has been an overwhelming, exciting and satisfying experience for Jane and I. On the 18th of July we hit it off at a true Rio style event hosted by the Owners of Made in Brasil, see the Launch photos here and the Before and after photos here. As if having completed the project wasn’t enough, Melissa Louise partnered with Made in Brasil to put together an opening giveaway for one lucky reader.

Two weeks ago I announced the giveaway, one lucky reader would stand the chance to win a mini manicure & Pedicure. I have had a great response and cant believe how quick the weeks have gone by, but today’s the day we announce the winner…

Copper can add warmth to any interior, its trending at large at the moment so adding it to my collection of now trending posts was only fitting. Last week I did a Etsy round up of copper items you could purchase for your home, see it here.

Copper gives me a warm feeling of my childhood. My gran had lots of copper accessories in her home and while growing up she was never too far behind us with the brasso shining our grubby paw prints off the beautiful pieces scattered around her home.

Below are a few interiors done well with copper accents.

“The V&A Waterfront have partnered with four of South Africa leading home and decor magazines to make sure you know whats on trend and where its available. From 20 to 31 August, editors from SARIE Tydskrif, Idees Tydskrif, House & Garden and Elle Decoration South Africa will translate the upcoming Spring home decor trends in the Victoria Wharf.” -V&Ã Waterfront

One of my absolute favourite finds in their store is this Ball & Claw Oak Board. Not only am I obsessed with the ball and claw feature on any furniture item, this one in particular is just classically beautiful and such an innovative idea.
